Government secondary school admission lottery results for the 2021 academic year have been published online. The results prepared through lottery with the technical assistance of Teletalk have been published for the purpose of admission in government schools from 1st class to 9th class. The School Admission Lottery Result is available from the website http://gsa.teletalk.com.bd on January 11, 2021 from 5 pm.
The online admission process started on 15 December 2020 in 390 government secondary schools under the Department of Secondary and Higher Education. In that process, a total of 8,140 vacant seats were found in government schools across the country for admissions from 1st to 9th class. 5,64,929 applications were received against the said vacant seat. The first digital lottery system was adopted this year in the class-based distribution program for admission from the applications received.
It is to be noted that the government school admission policy is followed in the lottery selection process. According to the policy, all quotas including catchment, freedom fighter, pet quota, government primary school, disability quota have been considered as per the rules. Subject to having vacant seats and the selection process has been completed in the order of class, shift and preference in the candidate’s own case. In the digital online lottery activities, students have been selected in a random manner through software. The digital online lottery process has ensured 100% transparency in the student selection process by publishing live results in the presence of journalists.
