Students have been instructed to refund some of the fees charged for filling up HSC and equivalent examination forms canceled due to the Corona epidemic. The education boards will return the money to the educational institutions, and the educational institutions will give the money to the students. The Dhaka Board has explained how much money will be refunded to the students for completing the form. On Sunday (January 31), the Dhaka Board of Education issued a notification instructing the candidates to return the money.
It is learned that it has been decided to return the money taken for the evaluation of the answer scripts of the candidates and a part of the money taken for the practical and center fees to the meeting of the Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Sub-Committee.
The order said that all the candidates who filled up the examination forms would be reimbursed Rs 30 per letter from the fee fixed by the board for each letter and another Rs 10 per letter in practical matters would be refunded by the Board of Education. The board will send the money to the students in their respective institutions. Candidates will receive this money from the institution.
In addition, the candidates will be reimbursed at the rate of Tk 200 per candidate and an additional Tk 25 will be refunded from the center for the ICT candidates. ICT candidates will be refunded Tk 25. In case of practical matters other than ICT, an additional Rs 45 per letter will be refunded. The examination center will receive the unspent money from the institution for the fee.
The board further said that the concerned educational institution will pay 10 per cent of the fee for filling up the form and Tk 20 per candidate for the fee for filling up the form and ancillary work from the fee collected for ICT practical subjects.
In HSC and equivalent examinations, each educational institution will pay Rs. 180 per candidate to the concerned center. This money will be used for transporting confidential papers of the examination and depositing, storing and administrative expenses on the board.
