No examination can be taken in any educational institution before May 24, said the Education Minister. Dipu Moni. He made the remarks at a virtual press briefing today (February 22).
The education minister said that after Eid-ul-Fitr, no educational institution will be allowed to take any examination before May 24. BCS exam dates also need to be adjusted. The tests that are being taken should be stopped. Examinations are underway at the National University. The education minister also directed to stop those examinations.
He added that halls will be opened in all the universities of the country from May 17. And from May 24, direct teaching will start in the classroom in accordance with the health rules. However, all teachers and students will be vaccinated before the opening of public-private universities.
The education minister said online classes will continue as usual before all classrooms open. Teachers and staff will be vaccinated before the residential halls open.
Regarding the Corona situation, the Minister said that Bangladesh has achieved a lot compared to many other countries in dealing with Corona. The rate of infection is declining. I see great success in vaccination in Bangladesh.
New types of corona have been found in the United Kingdom, South Africa and India, he said. Experts say it can cause more infections. We have to keep an eye on this.
Regarding the opening of the residential hall, the minister said, all the universities have to prepare for this. If necessary, the university authorities will renovate the infrastructure of the hall.
It is to be noted that the educational institution has been closed since March 16 due to the Corona situation. It is closed till February 28 by increasing it in stages.
