The 43rd BCS preliminary examination will be held on August 6. The test will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh from 10 am to 12 noon. Detailed instructions regarding examination halls, seating arrangements and examinations will be published in due course in the media and on the Commission’s website.
The matter was announced in a circular published on the PSC website on Monday (February 1) signed by Nur Ahmed, cadre of the Public Service Commission.
Earlier on January 27, the application deadline for the 43rd BCS was extended by two months at the request of the National University and University Grants Commission (UGC).

Sohrab Hossain said, “The application period has been extended by two months at the request of the University Grants Commission and the National University.” During this period, those who have passed the written test of the Honors final year, but have not completed or started the practical or lab course, can also apply as an appier in the 43rd BCS. In this case, the applicant has to collect evidence from the university after completing the written test in all subjects. ‘
The PSC issued the notification of the 43rd BCS on November 30. One thousand 614 officers will be taken in different cadres. Among them, 300 will be appointed in administration cadre, 100 in police cadre, 25 in foreign cadre, 743 in education cadre, 35 in audit, 22 in information, 19 in tax, 14 in customs and 19 in cooperatives.
