Education Minister Dipu Moni said, “We want students to be entrepreneurs, not just look for jobs.” We will train them to be entrepreneurs.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also wants our sons and daughters to be entrepreneurs and create new jobs. They will give jobs to 10 more people.
He made the remarks while visiting the Delwar Hossain couple’s Moumita Flowers flower and vegetable garden in the Kewa East block of Sreepur municipality in Gazipur on Tuesday (February 2nd) morning.
The education minister said the Delaya couple were cultivating flowers, fruits and vegetables in a modern way in the garden. The crops they produce have enormous potential. They have already created 300 entrepreneurs in flower and vegetable cultivation. He has also trained many. In our country, the soil is so fertile that it has the potential to be cultivated and marketed. And there is a possibility to export this flower abroad. The way this couple is creating entrepreneurs. I believe that with more cooperation from the government, they will be able to take it to a bigger scale.

The Education Minister further said that the government of Bangabandhu’s daughter has always been by the side of the entrepreneurs. If anyone wants to do something new, Hon’ble Prime Minister helps and encourages them. If flowers are cultivated in this way in the country, we will be able to export flowers as well as vegetables.
Sreepur Municipality Mayor Anisur Rahman, Sreepur Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Jalil, Gazipur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Rina Parveen, Sreepur Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Shamsul Alam Pradhan, Sreepur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Taslima Mostari, Sreepur Municipal Awami League General Secretary Noor Alam Mollah. Joint Secretary of Upazila Awami League Humayun Kabir Himu, General Secretary of Gazipur District Chhatra League Zahidul Alam Robin and others were present.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Dipu Moni inspected the Delwar couple’s tulips, exotic roses, capsicum, strawberry orchards and other activities.
Delwar Hossain cultivates and produces seedlings of various colors including capsicum, green capsicum, tulip flower, oriental lily, Dutch rose, native rose, strawberry, G-9 banana on about seven acres of land.
He said he started cultivating these lands on his own land in 2002. He later expanded it to his own five bighas and 15 bighas of leased land. He has created three hundred entrepreneurs in these fields across the country. Highlighting some of the problems in these cultivations, he said the banks do not provide adequate bank loans for this project. The loan that is available is also at high interest. If the government cooperates, it will take two to three years to grow flowers and vegetables like India and China.
