How to calculate CGPA
Calculation of 1 Year CGPA: Total Points Earned in a Year Total Credits Earned in a Year
Total Points Earned in a Year: Multiply the points earned in a subject by the credit of that subject. Thus, multiplying the points of all the subjects by their credits and adding up all the sums to get the “total points earned for a year”.
Total Credits Earned in a Year: The credits of all the subjects passed are added together to get “Total Credits Earned in a Year”.
Ex: Subject Points × Credits
A- = 3.50×4 = 14 ;
B+=3.25×4=13;
A+=4.00×4 =16;
B+=3.25×4=13;
A- 3.50×4=14;
B+=3.25×4 = 13;

So Total Points Earned: 14+13+16+13+14+13=83
and total credits earned: 4+4+4+4+4+4 = 24
Total GPA stands at: 8324=3.45
Determination of 4 years CGPA: Total points earned in four years (1st year + 2nd year + 3rd year + 4th year) + total number of credits earned in the entire course.
Four-Year Total Earned Points: As in the first step of GPA determination, adding the “Total Points Earned” of all the years consecutively will give you the four-year total earned points.
Total credits earned for the entire course: The total credits earned for the entire course is the sum of the credits of all the course’s passed subjects.
Ex: Total points earned in four years: 5+81+79-328.
Ex: Total points earned in four years: 83+85+81+79=328
Total credits earned for the entire course: 24+24+26+28=102
CGPA Calculation: Therefore, the total CGPA is 328 1023.21

Determination of NU GPA and CGPA
Earned Points (EPS) in a course are determined by multiplying the mode points earned in a particular subject by the credits in that subject will be A year’s GPA will be calculated by dividing the total points earned in all subjects in the current year by the total credits earned.
Thus the CGPA will be calculated by adding the GPA points earned in the previous year and adding the TPS points to the total divided by the total credits. No credit will be earned for this and it will be considered as F (Full) credit earned will be added to the CGPA calculation if promoted from an F grade to a higher mod.
Method of calculating GPA: PS (Total Point Secured in a year)
GPA= SEC (Total Earned Credit in your semester)
We are familiar with two terms GPA(Grade Point Average) and CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average). Among them, we can calculate GPA after passing SSC and HSC, but we do not understand how to calculate CGPA when we come to Honors Degree Masters.
The average of the marks you get in each year of the 4-year course is called GPA and the average of the total result of 4 years is called CGPA.
Honors degree Master has subject-wise credits per year. You will find it written next to each subject in your syllabus.

The course-wise number may vary. For example, not all courses are of 100 marks. Some courses have two 50 and 100 marks. Each of the subjects you study in a year is called a course.
CGPA Calculation For National University Students
So suppose you are studying total of 6 subjects in the first year. 4 credits each for a total of 24 credits. Now in the exam, you got 40 in each subject. If you get 40 then you get 2 points in each subject. Then obtained in 6 subjects (6*8) means 48 points. Notice above that next to each subject, the exact number of points will be written. If 48/24 then your CGPA is 2.
Now if you get 80 marks in each subject your points will be 16 in each subject. Then multiply 6 subjects by 16. This means 16*8=128/24= 4 means your CGPA is 4.
